Santos rosewood

Pau Ferro, Morado, Bolivian Rosewood, Santos Rosewood: these are the names by which is known, call it Machaerium scleroxylon, if you prefer! This wood species is not listed in the CITES Appendices, and many of the species within the Machaerium genus are reported by the IUCN as being of least concern.

It is used s as a substitute for the endangered Brazilian Rosewood.

Hard and fascinating is perfect both for cooking and serving.

We buy it as a waste of veneer production, and we give it new life.
